Remembering Otis Redding

43 years ago today we lost one of Soul Music's greatest singers. R.I.P Otis Ray Redding Jr.

I was just re reading the last few chapters of Scott Freeman's bio, 'Otis! The Otis Redding Story.' about his tragic death....sad.

Then yesterday while looking for another album, I found the Atlantic 4 LP box set, 'The Otis Redding Story' which I forgot I had, don't think I ever listened to. First song I listened to was his "Stay in School" promo. This is a nice set, with some excellent lesser-known selections, and a fact-filled booklet by Rob Bowman.
