    A great loss for the jazz community indeed. Especially those of us still actively connected to the music and still feeling the loss of others like Abbey Lincoln and Hank Jones. Moody too worked up until he was unable. His last release with David Hazeltine is still a favorite play on wbgo. RIP, Moody. Miss you like hell already...

    Back when I worked with my cousin, tenor man, Rick Davey, we listened to a lot of James. He was one of our real inspirations. It's great that he kept on playing right up to the end. Thanks for everything.
