    Different ANMHE by M&T mix?

Just watched this video and noticed a difference in the vocal mix at time 1:45 - Tammi's vocals are there and more so at 1:49 and then very prominently "and don't you know" at 1:51.

    Is this an alternative mix?

I don't think this is available on any albums I have.

I believe this mix was issued on the 1990s Marvin box set [[pre Motown Master Series), and issued again on a compilation in early or mid 2000.

As you can hear, it uses Tammi's vocals that were muted out of the original Marvin & Tammi duet mixes, after the 8 track tape of her solo version was transferred to another 8 track tape for the duet version.

Sadly, the digital copies of the duet 8 track tape that appeared on the internet several years ago, had the lines not used on the duet version already muted out!.

    Anyway, thanks for posting it.

    Cheers

    Paul

Thanks Paul, I'll have to track that "box set version" down somehow!

There is a slightly longer version of the song included on the Motown Box [[the remixes CD set). I have never been certain if this version just has a copy of an original section of the song added in to create the longer version or the familiar version is an edit.

    Regards

I think I first heard this mix on the soundtrack of the 1998 film STEPMOM starring Julia Roberts and Susan Sarandon. It was also released on the UK 2fer UNITED / YOU'RE ALL I NEED.

Thanks Reese, if that 2fer is the one linked below then it's a good 99p spend to have this mix. Is this the correct 2fer please?
