Diana Ross Venetian Run Makes the Box Office Top 10 - Shania Twain Shines

It's a nice little paycheck for Miss Ross - she doesn't hafta knock herself out, can do her usual show, travel very little and be comfortable. What a great way to preserve The Supremes and Motown legacies with the biggest star of the halcyon years singing the biggest hits to the biggest audience with the original voice and arrangements. A testament to the correctness of the sound then and now: 50 years later plus. Everyone wins!!!

Interesting that Shania Twain has exploded out of nowhere.

She had stopped performing a while back because of some vocal problems. Currently she is on a farewell tour.

11 of the Top 15 shows were Shania's! And she hasn't had a hit in years and didn't have that long a run. And the money the rest of these folks are raking in with these shows is amazing.

Based on these figures and corresponding rankings, her Hawaii dates, especially the 2 nights at the Blaisdell Arena [[8,000 venue cap.), should have also hit the Top 10 at the beginning of June. [[Most people don't realize that she has been doing mini-residencies in Las Vegas since the 70s....at a time when Las Vegas had a completely different vibe. Contractually, is was not unusual for her to have a month long stay at Caesar's Palace).
