He left Anna, and they folded, when he first signed with Chess Records to run their Check-Mate Records Detroit subsidiary, and later moved to Chicago to be Chess' A&R Man and executive producer of all Chess' Soul output. Aside from “That ‘70s Show” [[1998-2003), Kelly did a couple of outstanding episodes of “Married With Children” [[1992 and 1996). Also in 1996 she did and episode of “The X-Files” titled “Syzygy” which included Ryan Reynolds as Jay "Boom" DeBoom. His role is brief though, her character kills him in the first five minutes.
