After seeing Andrew Garfield in "The Amazing Spider-Man" [[2010) - which is actually a very good movie - I was totally convinced that he would be perfect as the lead in a Anthony Perkins biopic. He's got Perkins look and seems to be a decent actor.

Speaking of Anthony Perkins, Lurene Tuttle was memorable as the sheriff's wife in "Pyscho" [[1960) but also very memorable to me in two Marilyn Monroe movies, "Don't Bother To Knock" [[1952) and "Niagra" [[1953). I believe her birthday is actually August 29 and that she passed away in 1986.

Whenever I am reminded that the great Dinah Washington died at just 39 years, I can't help but wonder what might have been. Yes she did record for eighteen years and left a substantial catalog of music, but what might have been had she recorded say another twenty years? She was an awesome talent and I think she would only have gotten better.

Difficult to confirm with any real accuracy, but Dinah Washington was surely further proof that the greatest talents are often found in those with the shortest lives.
