Not so much time during the last few days, so the Birthday information has been just 'bare bones' lists of names. I must try harder!

Moe, not sure if I'll get to a cinema to see Eddy and Patsy in AbFab The Movie, but will catch it on DVD later.....

Let us know if you catch it yourself! The reviews seem to rate it 'OK', if not great, but there still seems to be some good fun in it....

Speaking of great ladies in comedy, a quiet tribute to Caroline Aherne [['Mrs Merton'; 'The Royle Family'), who passed away yesterday, much too young. She will be remembered on her birthday, Christmas Eve.

Caroline's life seemed to be a constant battle against physical ill health and other troubles, which made her very vulnerable, but a lovely and very talented lady, whose skills with human observation and sly humour made so many people laugh.

Was she known at all in the US?

That's a shame, Moe. If you have a minute sometime, check out 'The Royle Family : The Queen Of Sheba', as an example of her work.

It was written by Caroline, together with Craig Cash - who respectively also play Denise [[who has to be the most flaky of daughters ever born) and Dave, her husband.

In the manner of 'Mrs Brown's Boys' [[which came along later), and not played for laughs to a studio audience, it is an earthy depiction of maybe the last family you would ever want to know very well..but can also be poignant and unexpectedly moving......

Strange how the oldest person in the UK keeps on dying. If I didn't know better, I'd think there was some sort of conspiracy.
