Indeed he did, Arr&bee. About 500 years ago.....

Leonardo d. V. was an excellent painter. You may know the 'Mona Lisa' [[ Leonardo knew he would be a big fan of Nat King Cole, he just didn't know exactly when Nat would be born) - and also, 'The Last Supper'.

It's a little known fact, but L.d.V. created and dedicated 'The Last Supper' to all the future customers of Greasy Grady. He really should have a plaque on the wall by now, but Greasy has always refused, as he thinks it would be detrimental to his business.

Sadly, despite being one of the greatest painters who has ever lived, Leonardo died while changing stations on his transistor radio. He fell from his metal stepladder onto the vinyl floor in a friend's lounge, while trying to put up what he felt would, one day, be very popular '60s style wallpaper.

You could be right. Maybe, while Leonardo was painting her, she told him what she was thinking.

Everyone has been wondering about that, ever since.....

I was very fond of JW, too, although we didn't see so much of his work here in the UK.

I wish I had more time to embellish the names on the roll call with further details, but the little bit of research done can indeed become a little sad at times, just seeing how many long admired names, remembered throughout a lifetime, have now gone.......

I'm really glad you mentioned it, Arr&bee. Happy to add anybody special to the list.

Duly noted, and now added to today's post.

You may already have noticed that, on this thread, the ages of those named, and the year of their birth, are not usually quoted.

I, of course, do this simply to protect the innocent............from the truth.

'A Quiet Place' reached # 78 on the national chart, but no position given on the R&B chart. Wasn't there a time when there were no R&B charts available? I can't recall quite why that was.....

If you want to insert a clip of 'A Quiet Place' here, you are welcome......

Your posts are very witty, wacky and creative, Arr&bee. They don't have to be absolutely 'perfect' to get the message across.

I've just seen your latest post on the Otis Redding 'I can't turn you loose' thread.

It's true that my first reaction, when I read that thread you started, indeed was that no clip accompanied your comment. I didn't post to say so [[and imnokid has now noted that no-one else who has viewed it has done) because I also knew it's not something I can do quickly and efficiently, either! LOLOL

Not yet, anyway. So I guess that goes for both of us

A year or so back, Lauren was reported to be writing her autobiography.

The rest of the time, she's fighting to keep any wrinkles at bay.
