Westgrand, I see you mentioned Kathy Lennon (of The Lennon Sisters). Are all of them still alive? My parents loved watching them on Lawrence Welk.

Hi Moe (I hope you've read Arr&bee's latest plans for you, if you lift your eyes further up the thread....although there's nothing heavenly about them...)

Sure, the original Lennon Sisters (Dianne, Peggy, Kathy and Janet) are all still alive.

Younger sister Mimi replaced Peggy when she retired from the group in 1999 - and Dianne has also since retired.

Kathy still works with the group, along with Mimi and Janet, touring the country, and performing annually in their Christmas show at the Andy Williams Moon River Theatre, in Branson, Missouri.

Hi Arr&bee..yes, Jay North is still alive (he's one year younger than me...so keep going, Jay...).

A troubled childhood caused by family members, and a career which never really developed after childhood and teens/twenties.

However, the money he received while appearing in 'Dennis The Menace' for CBS (1959-1963) was invested on his behalf by his mother, and left him financially secure.

Jay was last reported (2011) to be working as a correctional officer, working with Florida Department of Corrections. but may well have now retired.

  34. #5034
And, of course, if I had been more on the ball, you would have seen Jay listed on the Birthday list for today, August 3rd.

So I'd best get moving soonest, before you come up with an enquiry about someone born on August 4th....

  35. #5035
...but that gives me an idea, Arr&bee.

Whenever you do think 'what happened to...?' about your stage, screen and recording favourites, just let me know.

I can do some research and make sure they receive a mention on their special day.

  36. #5036
I saw the above, Westgrand............you notice I didn't mention it?
    SMH

  37. #5037
    I noticed, Moe.

    I noticed.

Arr&bee's announcements do leave me feeling I'm forced to read them at maximum volume

  38. #5038
VERY FUNNY YOU TWO,IF NOT FOR THESE CLASSIC MOTION PICTURES,YOUR LIVES WOULD BE A LITTLE DULLER..HEHEHEHEHHE!!!...[of course both of you know that you're my hero's]EXCLAMATION POINT!

  39. #5039
Well, Arr&bee, you really do offer Moe and myself such great comfort in difficult times.

Whenever we feel we're becoming permanently stressed, living beyond our mental endurance, and totally losing the plot....we only have to think of you, and then we immediately realise just how sane we really are
