    June 6th:

    Quote for the Day:

"Berry Gordy is an absolute genius. You have to remember that at Motown, you had a lot of performers who had never had anything in their lives.

All of a sudden, you get a check that's worth more than you could possibly ever imagine.

So what you do is go out and spend it all, as you should not do, because in your mind you think there's a lot more coming.

What happens then is you end up blaming another individual, for your own mistakes.

Before I came to Motown, I had already worked for a number of record companies. I knew how the game could be played.

And I'm here to tell you that Gordy and Motown did all they could, for all of us."

Oh yes indeed, Moe...mothballs in cupboards and drawers....and no, not good.

    NOT. GOOD. AT. ALL.

My mother used to complain loudly about the smell of the mothballs used by her own mother [[my 'Nana').

But I guess that's all they had available to buy at that time, to deter those fluttering, wool loving insects.

I have Moe's answer [[she's at home, polishing her gold bars)

If you are talking shoes, Moe has just two words to say to you: -

    Stuart Weitzman.

Another two words for you.....Manolo Blahnik.

And finally, just two more words......Christian Louboutin.

If your answer is 'yes', Moe says 'we talk'.

If your answer is 'no', then Moe says 'no deal'.

    June 18th:

    Quote for the Day:

"I'll remember this to my grave.

We all walked into a room to see the screen tests.

The first screen test was Marion Hutton's.

Then came Janis Paige [[who ended up with a part in the film).

Then on the screen came Doris Day.

I can only tell you, the screen just exploded. There was absolutely no question.

A great star was born, and the rest is history."
