Jermaine Jackson -- Deadbeat Dad Without Wheels

Jermaine Jackson owes so much in back child support his driver's license has been confiscated, and he's not getting it back until he antes up around $100,000.

TMZ has obtained court documents showing Jermaine owes $91,921.55 in child support for Jaafar and Jermajesty. $3,000 a month really adds up.

The docs, filed by the L.A. County Child Support Services Dept., suggest Jermaine hasn't been very forthcoming on his income stream. According to Child Support Services ... Jermaine claims his monthly income is $1,448 per month, but never filed the proper paperwork to support it.

The Department doesn't want to give Jermaine his driver's license back until he pays in full. We could not reach Jermaine for comment.

Pretty interesting ... Jermaine's baby mama, Alejandra, has just been kicked out of the Jackson family homestead in Encino and she's none too pleased.

    Will Alejandra seek revenge?

    Stay tuned

You know its not like Jermaine is not known. Cant he get a job singing in a club or something?
I realize that the reality show may not have paid a ton but I thought he had offers.

Surely Dancing with the Stars would be interested in having him compete? Though I suspect La Toya is their first choice amongst the Jacksons.

I've had conversations with SDF'ers awhile back about Jermaine not performing in "smaller" clubs. He needs to get his head out of the $5M each of the Jacksons made from the Victory Tour when Michael was hot. Those days are over.

Jermaine had enough solo hits to be able to put together a show. Even if he worked something like a BB Kings here in NYC, he could do "Don't Take It Personal," "Let Me Tickle Your Fancy," "Do What You Do," "Let's Get Serious," Dynomite" [[even though I hated that one), whatever else he may have had that were hits; enough to fill up about 12 songs. He could then utilize the services of one of his background singers to sing Michael's part in a Jackson Five medley. That would fill up 75 - 90 minutes.

Why he won't do something like this is beyond me; especially now that everyone has a perception of him being a money-grubbin' ho who is trying to pimp his younger brother's legacy.

    Just my two cents.

1,448$ per month? Are you telling me that Jermaine Jackson makes less than ME? Somehow I doubt that. i'd like to see his house, you can bet your sweet ass it takes more than 1,448$ per month to maintain that sucker. And hell... Jermajesty....what kind of a nutball name is that? He might was well have named the kid Jerkoff. and yes, he could TOTALLY put together a live show and play the same venues that Martha and Mary play... all the songs mentioned above, and a Jackson 5 medley, along with a nice, full version of "Daddy's Home" would be a huge freaking crowd pleaser.

^ That'll be his wife's house. He can't make a million off his money because he's lazy and stuck in the '80s.

    Jermaine is a hot mess.

But who exactly is he paying child support to? Don't Jaafar and Jermajesty live at Katherine's home?

Yes, he should play the smaller clubs and casinos, good grief. Most newbees don't even know who he is. I remember being in Seattle once and saw an ad for David Lee Roth playing at a bar called "Under the Rail" some dive near the freeway underpass. My friend says, "Oh how the mighty have fallen," and I say, "Yes, but he's still working and paying the bills."

Not sure if Jermaine is big enough to play Casinos, but I've seen lesser stars play that circuit. He's got too big of an ego to do that, I guess. Didn't he steal Randy's wife or was it the other way around?

Is this a second wife he owes the child support? Surely his children with Hazel Gordy are grown by now. I agree that
he could work as a performer and make a decent income. He had solo hits and he IS a Jackson.

Wow! Dancing With the Stars WOULD be good for him; after all, we know he can dance. Also, his income has to be
much more than he is claiming. He would still be receiving royalties on Jacksons records and they did, I believe, have
their own publishing on some of the songs they did at Epic.

There's been some talk that they are going to stop letting people with dance backgrounds be on DANCING WITH THE STARS. It doesn't seem quite fair. But if he won or even appeared, it would be a good shot in the arm to his career. Probably better than CELEBRITY BIG BROTHER show he was on.

Re Epic, Jermaine wasn't in the group while they were there. So the most he could claim publishing wise would be anything he might have helped write on the VICTORY album, and later 2300 JACKSON STREET. But he should still be getting royalties from his Motown and Arista days, unless he signed them away. And I don't know how much of that material is still in print.

How much do you think he would get from 2300 Jackson Street..LOL? I bet he owns nothing from Victory which is a shame. Jermaine is a strange case when MJ died [[ad I hate to say this) he was parading himself around being the keeper of the flame for the Jacksons and had glowing reviews about Dad all of the time. I was beginning to wonder if his father was paying him. Katherine is probably not getting all the money that is due her I bet Janet is paying the bills for her. Jermaine is enough of a celebrity where he could make 2000 bucks a night I think he doesnt want to work. I keep hearing that every time the Jacksons are offered something they take a deposit and never follow through. Strange some people wish they were a Jackson. Have you noticed you never hear about Latoya asking for money.

Royalties aren't what they were for any recording artist. The current crop might make something as in Justin Bieber and Taylor Swift but the Supremes, Temptations, Four Tops, Vandellas etc., even the ones who did not sign away their royalties, are not making very much.

But surely there was a huge jolt to sales of the J5 catalog after Michaels demise and even divided 5 ways, there must have been a few dollars.

I also agree with those of you who have suggested that Jermaine could put together a show doing Daddys Home, Let's Get Serious, I'll Be There and some of the other J5 material in particular.

The guy is lazy and a n'er do well.

Before he died Michael was suing Universal for unpaid J5 royalties..and you can bet your ass that if Michael wasnt being paid then neither where the other brothers were not getting a dime either...

Well, if he got $5 million on the Victory tour and is flat broke, something is terribly wrong with him.

Five million doesn't carry you over two decades, not with the way the wealthy live. And, royalties don't keep you rolling in dough, but he should have kept recording instead of getting on TV every few months whining about racism and his brother.

He spent it all, plus having more babies put a hurt in his finances. Least Marlon used it for something valuable [[real estate).

He couldn't have spent it; more like he threw it away. And, I beg to differ, $5 million should carry you far over two

Like so many of these guys, the songs are good, but the lives lived are a mess. You'd never want your daughter going out with most of these guys.

Please, like he actually wasn't greedy, you know guy gets cheese and spends it as if he's gonna have it forever. I'm sure he didn't have $5 million by 2001.

I really do not understand WHY His Majesty has not put together a show, he has the name and enough hits [[especially if includes the Jackson five catalog that he has every right to)
I wonder how he spends his days???

While I'm in stone agreement that there's no readily apparent excuse for the disappearance of his once substantial revenue, I don't know the man personally. Whatever the circumstances, I wish him better days ahead. MAYBE he can help speed them along by trying to help others [[now in small ways) that he might have done wrong or neglected when he could have done better... starting with his kids.

Even if he's getting his just desserts, like I said, I don't know him and don't desire to disrespect him or rub his face in it. All for Tough Love though.... like his J5 song says, "Get It Together"... pronto!
