Question about the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame Induction Show

I just finished my DVR of that and actually liked it better than I expected to. My question is about the Stevie Ray Vaughn segment. I am not really familiar with that much of his music, but I definitely liked what I heard.

Anyway, there was a tall black guy that figured prominently in that set, both as a vocalist and guitarist, and I thought he was just incredible. I did not catch his name however.

He also had a featured guitar solo during the Ringo finale. Does anyone know who he was?
