Actor leon's music

I just ran across music from actor Leon and his group The Peoples. Leon played David Ruffin in "The Temptations" movie, in "The Five Heartbeats" and Little Richard [[still don't get that casting) in the Little Richard movie among other memorable roles. Apparently he's been doing music for some time.

That is a really nice track. Quite a surprise...For the record I'd heard Leon's musical explorations
many years ago and didn't particularly care for them. Ignored them after that but this piques
my curiosity. It seems Leon at this point [[when?...) had found some really good musicians to back him and improved his phrasing and tone. For a second he reminded me of a relatively new singer I'm following , a cat from Africa named Bibi Tanga. Anyway, that's a really nice video too...Thanks....

I liked the track also. Herad it on a podcast on iTunes. I'll check out the Bibi Tanga guy.
