He was the absolute BEST!
"Indianaola Mississippi Seeds" a classic, my favorite B.B. album. My mother owned and constantly played the 45rpm of "Lucille", then my generation embraced "Live at the Cook County Jail" and "Indianaola Mississippi Seeds.
Babyboomer friends of mine turned on their kids to it. Good music lives on......
thanks for the great music

Yes, an era has ended. The man was synonymous with the blues as art form. Also, my father was a B.B. King döppleganger; my family's always had a soft spot for him in that regard as well. The thrill is truly gone.

B.B. was to blues what Johnny Cash was to country and Chuck Berry was to rock and roll. A true giant. R.I.P.
Gotta go and play some B.B. King tonight.
What's funny is BB loved to talk. Even in the John Hiatt cover "Riding With The King" that he recorded with Eric Clapton, there's a middle part where he talks about where he grew up.
R.I.P., B.B.! If there's a rock & roll heaven, you know they got a hell of a band!
My heart goes out to Mr. B .B.King's Family and Friends,R.I.P Mr.B.B.King.
A lovely obituary in today's Guardian newspaper. http://www.theguardian.com/music/201...d-blues-legend
