    I believe that Johnny Bristol wrote, and thereby copyrighted the song in 1961..you don't copyright it when it finally becomes a hit, years later..

    English isn't the strong point of many of these writers either; the key is to "just get it out" and who gives a ++++ if it is inaccurate or contains misspellings and bad grammar!
