    Hi No_place_like_Motown,
Thanks for including Jimmy. He held back the years for a long time in real life.

Love Jimmy's student Nancy Wilson of course, also Morgana King.

Simply Red has always been simply cool!

    Hi S.S.,

You're very welcome. I'm glad you enjoyed many of the songs.

As far as I'm concerned any type of jazz listing would not be complete if it didn't include Jimmy! He really did an outstanding job on HBTY; as the listener you believe each and every lyric that he is singing. He truly was in a class of his own and there will never be another like him.

    All the best,
    NPLM

    no_place-_ike_motown,
That is very sweet but more importantly you get what the great singers and actors saw in Jimmy especially in his live performances, "he makes you the listener believe each and every lyric that he is singing", this is what all singers loved about him. It's because he lived every lyric he sings about or else he could not have a relationship with the song.

    Jimmy was cool like that.

The Bobbi Humphrey Blacks and Blues was worth a log in for me. Loved quite a bit of her
music and was delighted to have met her at the Harlem Book Fair a few years back. A lot of
nice stuff on both threads, no place...thanks for posting them...
