Help required with a song, please.

A friend of mine had an album by a female soul singer, that contained a track named Ugly Man.

The song was quite funky, and would be from the late 70's or early 80's.

The song was her telling her friends who mocked her partner, saying he was ugly, about how good he was to her. The only lyrics I remember are, I think, "I've got shoes on my feet".

I know it's not much to go on, but if I can find the answer anywhere, it's here. Even my friend who had the album can't remember the name of the singer.
