Hall Of Fame announcer Dave Niehaus passes.....

Came back from city council and popped on the computer only to read that Seattle Mariner play by play man Dave Niehaus, THE voice of the Mariners since they came into the American League in 1977, passed away this afternoon at the age of 75.

Most major league cities have their Ernie Harwell. Dave was ours. The announcer is the connection most fans have with their team, and Niehaus maintained that connection between the Seattle club and fans all over the Pacific Northwest for33 years. RIP.
