    Rosetta Hightower Lead Singer of the Orlons RIP

    I did not know that she had passed on 8/2/14. Pardon me if it was posted here but I don't recall seeing it.

    I am sorry to hear this news. This is the last time I saw the group perform [[2013) like many people. Of course Rosetta was not with them, but this is now in a way a tribute to them all. RIP Rosetta.

    At least she made it this far. I remember being so pissed when some thug ass mollyfock
    broke in Shirley Brickley's house and shot her to death. I loved the Orlons and I loved
    the way Rosetta could both harmonise and belt hard like she did on Not Me. She left behind
    so much great music. I'll treasure that...

    sorry to hear this, Rosie could really sing. The Orlons are one of the greatest groups of the Golden Age of Rock & Soul.
