I had a pair of those type pf platform shoes too, blueskies. I wore them to school, but they weren't that comfortable.

I don't remember the 'comfort factor', Soulster.....I guess I was too busy being cool. What a joke that was! I'm just surprised I didn't break my neck. I had a pair of 'Earth Shoes' in college. No wonder I'm in orthopedic shoes these days! LOL

Stacked heels. Elephant leg bell bottoms. Window pane blue jean suits. Roller skates... Good times...

They indeed were "Good Times". I remember them fondly - what I remember. I had a pair of Nunn Bush platforms I bought in Sausalito. The heels and soles were silver, the shoe tops were a deep Navy Blue with silver laces and a silver star on each side of the laces. Sharp! I tried to find a picture of them on line but no luck. Maybe traditional Nunn Bush doesn't want to admit they once made platforms. Expensive ones at that, I paid $49.99 for those shoes back in '72 or '73.

And....the biggest offense of all....I had a brown, 'polyester' leisure suit with lapels about 2 feet wide!! I think I wore a pooka shell necklace to add to the coolness factor. Dear God...what was I thinking!! Yikes!

Just because it seems funny to us now [[and it is) doesn't mean we weren't cool and styling back in the day. That's what the style was back then! Most fashion statements don't age well because fashion is a now thing. I remember my elephant leg bell bottoms flapping in the wind! LOL! Maybe it's a good thing photos were less prevelant in those days.
