Florence was still considered a liability...political issues aside. I enjoy her on some cuts (Good News) but find her lead vocals a bit piercing at times...she has volume, but tone control...
we listened to this LP a lot...(me and my HS GF...who along with her older sister were MG lovers) it is, in retrospect, a very uneven LP....You Are Everything, Love Twins, Don't Knock My Love, Just...
I am nuts about Wanda's "Barefootin" and Glady's "Message to Michael" the pink LP was the first M's and only one I owned till the exc yellow Anthology...I always wanted the LIVE LP..got both that one...
Elizabeth Fields....(Liz Fields) was another....'88(?)
For a time there was 2d guy with Parnell (who is always fabulous) for a total of 3...correct?
which Karen was supposedly a lawyer?...and...
I was a huge Ross fan up to and including Eaten Alive...although, the first 3 RCA Lps were never in my collection.
I managed to swoop up a few dozen used CD's when I purchased someone's record...
Although I have not purchased any bootleg Supremes CDs, I did buy VHS pay as I go 60's/ 70's/ 80's solo video clips in the 80's....this was before YouTube...I also found TCB in a NYC pricey Rock...
Tom must be a big SW fan....when I saw him live in AC in the early 2000's he did 3 Stevie Wonder songs
Gigilo seemed promising in the disco era.
GIT was a big let down...I would have loved TCB 2.
I once had a cassette with this, and Rhythm of Life (?) from this gig...long gone!
Jean Sherrie and Lynda recorded IGMYLM for Motorcity with...
Jean provided many of my Supremes total career high points. Touch is my fav Supremes LP....and there are "masterpieces" on every LP..I love her style.
I can understand her getting fed up with the...
BOOTS was the right vehicle for Nancy...song, writer, production....Like HDH was for the Supremes....everyone remembers Boots, and that LP was full of cover songs too. Nancy had other top 20...
Florence...perhaps Bye Bye Baby, Hitch Hike....
Mary...A Love Like Yours, Try It Baby
I would have to agree with that....although, I think A Go Go has a lot more filler than HDH...other than HEATWAVE, I love that LP...esp the Mono version. I love the deep droning blues of Always In My...
I don't think either Boots or Sloopy is the groups worst cover version...I would have to grant that honor to Liverpool's HOW DO YOU DO IT...with Up Up and Away 2nd.
I know lots of folks hate...
I have had time to rethink this and re-read all the comments. The Supremes are my fav group, and I am familiar with all their voices....I don't hear any of the 3 who recorded A Go Go (DMF) doing...
Her lead segments on Love Train (live) are pretty strong, Sha La Bandit, and the TV clip of ALL I WANT show her light but enjoyable vocals.
The harmony in both performances of the National Anthem...
the group paid for those gowns...they were entitled to wear them as long as they wanted...personally, the only 2 sets I thought were very outdated by Scherries arrival were the Batwing GIT/Sullivan...
The trouble with HDH most likely cemented DR staying in the group. The magical formula that worked wonders was not going to happen....how would DR and the group do with other songwriters? Suppose on...
I've only seen a few of them, never this many...thank you.
They are definitely WEARIN' those gowns! they were some gorgeous, shapely women.
I hated Endless Love..except for Lionel & Diana's opening lines....I am, after all these years just coming to appreciate the full song...blame my hate on radio/bar jukebox overkill.
I loved ALL OF...
I've once heard her voiced described as "Honey-toned"....powerful she is not..but she was able to blend well with 4 different Supremes singing lead. Her voice blends more easily and pleasantly and is...
Cindy was a perfect replacement....they weren't looking for a lead singer, or someone with lead singer capabilities or aspirations...they were looking for someone who would be a background singer for...

I love this LP! I always hated the song Parade, and this is the 3rd time we get a live TRAMP from her...other than that, its great....Big Mable, and this is the first version of Corner of The Sky I...
