I agree. Looks like Rush did an ok job & so did Cee Dee Lamb.
I forgot: Pressley Harvin III, Steelers punter, is out with a hip injury. Apparently Our old punter, Jordan Berry is at our training facility in the South Side.
OK? HAHAHAHA
My Boyz were on fire last night and you KNOW this. LOL
Sorry I bailed on you guys but a few of my church peeps are diehard Boyz fans too and we were having a ball texting back and forth.
How Bout Dem Cowboys...and yes I slept very well!!!!!!
As for my misery, them[noaccountnoncoachingnodefenseplayinggoodfornothing s]turned what i hoped would be a competitive game into a rout, and the wizards haven't even started yet, it's gonna be a looooooooooooong sports year...sigh!!!!!
Your Boyz deserve that win, Ms M. They came to PLAY!!
And many Giants fans with the "shock" expression.
I always come back sooner or later my beloved Jai. SMOOCHES!!!!!!
Welp. Dolphins lose their first game in a very winnable contest. I guess the lesson is you can't miss a field goal and an extra point after dropping a wide open pass in the end zone and expect to beat a good team. To make it worse, Tua got clobbered and looks like he'll be out for several weeks.
Life comes at you fast.
I've always said when you think you're 2 steps ahead of the game you end up taking 3 steps backward. Never assume anything........
Was just thinking about that game.
Do you guys think he [[Tua) had a concussion prior to last nights game” I saw the way he hit the ground last night and that was some scary stuff so I’m guessing he definitely suffered one last night but if he was already playing with a concussion… wow, just wow!
THIS is when I feel guilty about watching this game.
And in other news...
NBC's cameras picked up on Garoppolo frustrated while walking off the field before a drive, in which he had this to say: “All your plays suck, man!”
I may have watched 20 mins. of the Niner’s/Bronco’s game before I became bored, also because I’m not a Garoppolo fan so I just heard about this quote which is hilarious to me. Not saying he’s wrong since I truly believe Kyle’s play calling [[more running than passing) is why Trey Lance is hurt but THIS seems very unprofessional on Jimmy’s part.
I don't think he had a concussion on Sunday. He played too well in the second half against Buffalo and when I watched his pressers on Sunday and Monday, he was lucid and didn't seem to have any reactions to light or sound like concussion sufferers typically do. Besides, he had to be evaluated by the team trainer and an independent neurological medical expert before clearing protocol on Sunday.
That hit was so violent, it would have given anybody a concussion. I think that point has been missed by all of the armchair doctors on Fox Sports, ESPN, and other networks today. I'm really praying for him to be okay. The last player I saw react like that was Troy Aikman, who got a concussion when he didn't even take a shot to his head. Tua's reaction might have been the worst since Minnesota's Tommy Kramer had a seizure back in the '70s. That was so frightening, I remember it 44 years later.
I hope you're right Jerry. I'd hate to think they would let him play if he did.
In answer to your question, Ms M, I sure do think he had a concussion prior to last night's game! And where was the required "neuro trama expert" [or whatever they call it]. According to all the rules he should not have been playing. Wake up NFL!! I hope the NFLPA is REALLY paying attention & protects their own! When I saw this & last week's hit on Tua I couldn't yell loud enough. You're right, Ms M. That made me feel extremely guilty for watching!!
I have NEVER been a fan of Jimmy G. Is he dying a slow football death or what?
I'm on the fence about if he did or didn't but McDaniel's is from Kyle's camp and Kyle never seems to give a crap about the Niner's health...didn't pay attention when he was with the Falcons though.
As shallow as this sounds Jimmy G is too pretty for my taste but as a qb he's always been much too inconsistent. I recently heard some one say Cooper Rush was a better backup qb. Until recently I admit I didn't care for Cooper but he's growing on me....HAHAHAHA
The more I read about Tua the more it's bothering me. I get what Jerry Oz is saying about armchair doctors, and yeah media pundits will hype things to get hits and clicks but there are current and veteran players and coaches questioning if he should have been playing. I didn't see the last game where he was hit but from what I've read that was pretty nasty as well...and not his back as McDaniel's stated. I pray he will get through this but with everything we now know about CTE I'm really afraid for him.
The NFL has an independent neurological specialist on the sidelines of every game whose sole focus is to evaluate head trauma. That doctor, along with Miami's trainer, evaluated him on the sideline on Sunday before he returned. I can't speak to it, but I watched the game and I'd bet money nobody with a concussion is likely to play as well as he did in the second half. I also saw him in two press conferences and in neither did he display any concerning affect. Add to that, the scrutiny from the NFLPA led the team to examine him on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, specifically to prevent this sort of hindsight Twitter speculation.
Personally, I think that with a 3-0 team, most coaches would err on the side of caution if their star QB had a concussion. I've listened to McDaniel's press conferences three times this week and he's insistent that Tua was examined for both his head and his back several times. I've gotten into protracted Twitter disputes [and on other message boards] about it. Not that I think he should have played, but because I keep asking the same question: If he shouldn't have played after being medically cleared, when should he have returned? When Stephen A. Smith thinks so? Rich Eisen? Ryen Russilo? Shannon Sharpe?
He could have sat out Thursday night and taken the same hit next week vs the Jests and guess what? People would be saying, he should have sat out. My point is simple: In hindsight, every player who was injured should have taken that day off. But if you're not going to trust doctors [who have livelihoods to lose] to be able to evaluate head trauma, who do you trust? And when should somebody return when America *thinks* he suffered a concussion?
Don't get me wrong. I darn nearly cried when I saw him laid out. I was also second guessing the team and feeling outraged. But logically, I don't believe the team put him out there knowing that he had a concussion. In this age of CTE, few organizations will take that chance and I don't think the team did here. I once again contend that the sheer violence of the tackle [which was unnecessary, IMO] would have incapacitated anybody.
And if that sounds like a response from a homer, keep in mind, I was going to stop being a fan of this team had they traded for DeShaun Watson. Atlanta too, BTW. I'm not so emotionally attached to the team that I put the coaches' and trainers' well-being over the players. I only like the sport because of the players. I used to freak out for Hines Ward and Troy Polamalu, who both returned weeks early several times from concussions. Big Ben, too. I'm only a fan of the guys taking the risks.
I read an article that had an interesting take on all of this Jerry Oz. It's not always about the team, coaches etc., but the players who will do whatever they feel they have to in order to get back in the game. I'll see if I can find it again.
The players bear some responsibility, but if the doctor is worth his salt, he/she should be able to diagnose a concussion in spite of player protestations to the contrary. The Browns ruined Colt McCoy's career by putting him back on the field with a concussion. He couldn't even see. Watch this interview with McCoy. He's clearly not right and says he'd play if given the chance, regardless of concussion:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kbI-f6H3xV8
A good article about McCoy is linked: https://www.si.com/nfl/2015/12/02/nf...roethlisberger
BTW: The independent neurological specialist on the sidelines is jointly hired by the NFL and the NFLPA. The NFLPA fired the one who was on the sidelines of the Miami vs Buffalo game.
Still looking but it ties in with this Colt interview. A retired player talked about how he knew he should have stayed out after a serious hit but went back in anyway. It took the ref to tell his coaches he needed to come out....and in the end he was glad he did.
It also talked about how many players have figured out what they need to do and say to pass many of the protocols.
It's driving me crazy I can't find the article but check this out.

There are so many different sides to this issue and although we as fans and individuals may have an opinion, doesn't mean our opinion is the definitive right answer to this. shrugs
My stomach turned when he lay on the field on Thursday. They say that what he did with his hands is a typical response of concussion victims. As a fan of the team and a big fan of the man, I can honestly say that I'd be disappointed if he doesn't play again this season, but not upset. He needs to stay out as long as necessary.
With that being said, I continue to ask when should he be permitted to return? If the answer is "When the doctors say he's ready", then that's what everybody is saying failed this time.
By the way, the same day that Tua got his Twitter-diagnosed concussion, this happened to Tee Higgins for Cincinnati:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=66gvmjo3tZA
[click to watch it on YouTube]
For context, he suffered a diagnosed concussion in week 1 and returned in week 2. Then, he took the shot you see in the video above against the Jests last week and was knocked out. When people are knocked out, they by definition suffer a concussion. Nobody who is saying that Tua's undiagnosed concussion should have kept him out of Thursday's game is concerned in the least about Tee's undiagnosed concussion or the fact that he played on Thursday night.
Face it: Tua is a lightning rod for clicks and comments. People love him and people hate him [for some reason] and he's good for ratings. If the concern for him is what happened on Sunday, there should be similar concern and outrage about Tee Higgins being given even less scrutiny for an equally significant injury.
Good Morning Everyone
I couldn't see your video but I did find it on YouTube and that helmet to helmet hit was brutal. It's beyond my comprehension how they say he "managed to avoid a concussion."
Wasn't aware Tua is hated by some folks although not surprising but the issue for me is the way he stumbled after getting up last Sunday [[I finally went back to look it up). I suffer from occasional back issues and although I've frozen in place at times until the pain subsides I've never stumbled. That seems odd to me and then add the hit he took Thursday night, I can understand why people are outraged.
Time to go but I'll be back later to watch my Boyz and THE WHO EVER THEY ARE TEAM.:D LOL
Morning Everyone,
It's Your Boyz vs. The Commanders @ 1pm

Steelers defense crumbled. But, they did use Kenny Pickett so there might be signs of life.
And Buffalo beat the Ravens.
Did either of you read about JJ Watt? On Twitter he posts: "Since the info has been leaked: I have a-fib, was shocked. I am playing today. That's all."
Tough loss Moe.
Geeze...but that goes back to what I was saying about players playing at all cost.
