They need to give this a special edition DVD release like Motown 25. We also need TEMPTS & TOPS, Motown 30 and 40. And plenty of other releases.
I still have my VHS copy I made just before moving to Philadelphia that summer.

The finale
This is the show along with Live Aid I believe that put Patti in the stratosphere. She is amazing!
It really did. It turned Patti LaBelle into a bona fide superstar like Motown 25 did for Michael Jackson. Later that summer, NBC gave Patti or own show.Quote:

Patti is amazing live, so much energy and can really sing. At a book signing, I saw her pull a lady out of the line to see if she would like her Patti LaBelle Jean jacket autographed. Patti said “ I know you paid a lot of money for this jacket so let’s make it worth something”.Quote:
