Henry Ford and The Gifts- Who were they?

I just came in and saw lockhartgary's threads about the Five Stairsteps and it's really such a coincidence because tonight, I've been listening to another Chicago group of kids, Henry Ford and the Gifts. They had some very good records but it seems they didn't last much beyond 2 or 3 record releases. I've been scouring the internet to find out the story of this group, but there is very little. On YouTube, I've been commenting that I'm wondering if maybe the Five Stairsteps grabbed the public's lion share of attention and maybe the feeling was that Henry Ford and the Gifts were one youth musical group too many. It's such a shame, because the group sounded fantastic and the records were top class in production. Does anyone know anything about this group?
