It was pointed out to me recently that Martha comes from a family of 12. She has 12 brothers and 11 sisters plus herself. A large family. I do not know if they are all living.
I was unaware of this fact.
Wikipedia says 11 children.
I met her brother Benny but he has since passed away some years ago. He performed with the Contours for a very short time.Quote:
