Not sure we need yet another Gladys and the Pips compilation, but if there is a market for it who am i to argue? I suspect this will be from their Buddah catalogue.Quote:

Thanks for the track list. I personally will pass since, as someone had predicted, this is latter-day Gladys. I would have been more interested in a Motown collection although as someone stated [[maybe the same person?) did we really NEED another Gladys collection of any type? If anybody is counting, this will be their third one with the title "Gold" not to mention a whole slew of other anthologies.
But that does not change my overall opinion on the subject...........keep those CDs coming, especially collections and good bargains!!!
It was me who said those things David. I stand by what i said, but i have to concede that this is an excellent compilation and i am pleased to see disc 3 devoted to the Columbia years. I have all the tracks but hopefully it will sell enough to warrant further compilations on other worthy artists.Quote:

But I guess with Gladys, since I was first introduced to them on Motown, I could just never embrace them as much on the other labels.
