Jermaine made some great solo records starting back in the early seventies with this one, his first:

A very popular at the time in 1980 in Detroit:

One of his beautiful duest with Whitney Houston https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gDQasdvVeTg
Glen, so as you can see, Jermaine Jackson was no joke! He's had a pretty solid recording career that many wished they had.
Jermaine was tearing it up in 1980 with this one too. "Burnin' Hot"

He got a little help here from his sisters...Jermaine Jackson ft. La Toya & Rebbie "Let Me Tickle Your Fancy" [Soul Train 1982

...and he got a lot of help from his brother here on this jam:

Yes he and Whitney sounded great together https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BVgSoWYzt0Y
He also had a duet with Miki Howard https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tU9UfljnW0A
I so loved that "Let Me Tickle Your Fancy" performance on Soul Train. LaToya and Rebbie are lovely. They were such a good-looking family. It's a shame what they did to themselves.
This video received a lot of play on MTV back in the day:

I also remember that Chicago radio stations were so segregated at that time that whenever it played on a 'pop' music station the announcer would say it was "Jermaine Jackson and DEVO."
This disco soufully funky instrumental number here is smokin!!!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8xE7o6Oyjs8
Yes, now that was a good one. I'm telling you, Jermaine was no joke!
I had to go wayyyy back in Jermaine Jackson history for this one:

Glen, just to stray off subject for one moment. Do you remember a group called Five Special out of Detroit?
He does an admirable job with this remake:

Love this uplifting duet with the fabulous Tata Vega...!!!

Yes. And now he and"the brothers" are reduced to "free outdoor concerts"! Wah?!!
Just listened to his son, Jaafar's track, "Got Me Singing." Supposedly the video was shot in Brazil. The track title says it all. Should call it Can't Be Singing! Plus why is he "dancing" on a roof? In a puddle of water? Needless to say, that was all I could take. "Cause I can't stands no more"!! Jermaine should be proud, however. Like father like son.
Jermaine's "Take Me In Your Arms [[Rock Me A Little While)" from his first Motown solo album, "Jermaine".
