Well Rob, its all relative these days. We don't have Oscar Peterson, Duke Ellington, or other piano greats in the marketplace. I was expecting little from this CD and it blew well past my low expectations. It is a bit commercial with the guests, but I like it much, much more than anything else "contemporary" jazz has to offer. I was very pleasantly surprised. From a musical viewpoint, I'm sure it can be critiqued. But from the standpoint of other jazz offerings on the market today, I like it more than anything I've heard in the past two or so years.Quote:
