The Manhattans add New Member.

The Manhattans, have added new singer Lawrence Newton, following the passing of longtime Manhattans member David Tyson.

Philadelphia singer Lawrence "Weas" Newton. The powerful baritone has had a long career working with such artists as Grover Washington, Patti LaBelle and Bootsy Collins. He was also a member of the music collective UGO [[Urban Guerilla Orchestra) and more recently was performing regularly in Philadelphia's Unscripted Jazz Series.

The Manhattans are planning an international tour for Fall.
