Ronnie Spector and the Ronettes 2017 live

Love my Ronnie - she looks fantastic as a 'full figured gal'!
-
She is still looking and sounding good. I was quite surprised that her 2016 album "English Heart" didn't do better. It really is quite good.

Yes - did it actually get a US release?

I just ordered it on oldies.com for $7.32! One copy left. Cost lots more on amazon.

She's 70 something, so I would not necessarily call her a "gal" LOL! I remember when my grandma was in her 70s. I was in high school. She sounds good. I haven't seen Ronnie since 2010.

The copyright is a little confusing, but the CD does say it was made in the USA.

Many of the reviews for "English Heart" highlighted Ronnie's female version of the Rolling Stones song "I'd Much Rather Be With The Boys". But Ronnie was not the first female to do so. Donna Lynn released "I'd Much Rather Be With The Girls" in April of 1965.

I remember when "English Heart" first came out, there was a deluxe edition. It was a tad pricey so I opted for the single disc. What's on the DVD, interviews, concert footage?

I also did the same, at the time of release. I seem to recall that most of the DVD is the EPK for the album, which I watched on Youtube at the time. I believe it's mostly an interview. [[Hi sophisticated_soul! :) )

I haven't watched it since I bought it. But I believe there are two interviews about the cd.
