New CD by The Three Degrees......'and others'

Being a big Three Degrees fan, I was looking forward to the new CD. It arrived today and after about 2 min. into the first song....I thought...hmmm. In reading the liner notes, I read.....'additional voices' by Kyrie, which is a guy and 3 women. Each song sounded like a lead and the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. It very much reminded me of 'The Supremes produced by Jimmy Webb'. Valerie does most of the leads and Freddie gets a couple. Helen could have phoned her part in. I'm aware of 'sweeting the sound' a la Andantes....but, this sounded like a couple of groups of Andante's and a guy thrown into the mix. Some probably won't mind, but, I must admit, it really took away for me. Oh well.....I'm glad the ladies are still out there performing and I wish them the best with the CD.
