Elvis recorded "I'll Be There" - a song written pre-Motown by Bobby Darin.

Thank you Copley. I am more than a bit surprised that Elvis seemingly did not record any of the Motown hits especially in the early 70's when he seemed to be getting closer to a R&B sound. I'd like to find at least one example of that.Quote:

I just watched the new Elvis film, which I thought was very good! It has now turned me onto "In The Ghetto", which was played over the film's ending.

Almost brought a tear to my eye this thread was started 10 years ago by Marv [[RIP). I didn’t always agree with him but he sure was prolific on here
