I was shocked to see this story on Yahoo a short time ago. Smokey almost died from Covid last December. I couldn't imagine losing our legend in such a terrible way. I'm glad he pulled through!

Losing America's "Greatest Living Poet" would be sad, indeed. When it comes to Motown, Smokey is like family to me -- right up there with Berry & Diana.
Thanks for sharing the news about Smokey's fight with COVID-19. Had no idea that he had gotten the virus and I'm so glad that he was able to make a full recovery from it.Quote:
