Throw in some pectin for a really sweet setting time!
-
On my 'list-to-do-sometime' is Champagne Jelly [[you call it Jello?), in tall glasses, with flower heads, say primroses, suspended......
-
The only jelly I really like is aspic in pork pies.
-
True! You can tell it's a superior pork pie by that. Without it, they tend to be on the dry side....
-
-
I like a good pork pie with, for preference, added chicken, to give it extra texture. Not cheap, but enjoyable. A lot of jelly, and I often fancy it warmed, with a selection of chutneys. Pickled walnuts are a favourite, too....
-
Only thing i want with my jelly is peanut butter.
-
A PB&J - ? Not something that was ever as popular here as in the US...and I think I would pass on the opportunity.....
-
-
Makes me wonder what is/was popular there that didn't work so well over here, and vice versa. Will need to check it out. Must be lots of things.....?
-
What about the sandwich where they dump the French fries & coleslaw on the sandwich? It's what made Primanti Brothers in Pittsburgh famous!
-
Remind me when i'm in pittsburg to pack my own lunch.
-
French fries and coleslaw 'dumped' on the sandwich, Moe....??!
Not for me, I feel. Arr&bee also doesn't sound like a committed customer [[even if he is certainly a cool customer who has regularly been committed...:))
I always had the impression that the American public had a taste for an almost infinite variety of sandwiches? Was that ever true? If so, is it still true?
-
Yeah west,we'll put almost anything on bread, like bananas and sardines...[and you wonder why i drink].
-
Banana and sardines on bread doesn't sound too awful - unless they're together, of course.
I'm partial to soft date and cream cheese, with wholemeal bread. And I made two very nice loaves of that myself, this week.....
-
Yes they are together, talk about the odd couple....and the sadines won't let the bananas get a word in.
-
Those sardines are really tough, and those bananas are just yellow, through and through....
-
Those sardines are very finniky!
-
-
The've just come from Cannes....
-
Not sure if they have tinnitus!!
-
Oil can be very beneficial for tinnitus, Moe, even if only indirectly... :)
-
-
-
Well....I can say, Moe, because it's true.
Other than that, Destruction, I couldn't say....:)
-
Those sardines told the banannas that they would be mush if they said a word.
-
What do those sardines know? Do they think the bananas are green?
A talking banana has much greater media appeal than a talking sardine. With a good agent, it could earn millions.....
-
Those bananas got together and threw a batch of vanilla wafers at em.
-
They got their just deserts.....or maybe their just desserts; whichever spelling they flavoured.
-
Yeah those bananas hang together.
-
A very close-knit bunch....
-
It isn't easy being green....
-
But it's greasy being easy.
-
A slippery slope, in either direction...
-
An upside & a downside? Makes perfect sense, westgrand!
-
Of course, Moe - for example, Chanel makes perfect scents, but that doesn't mean they will all suit you :)
-
Chanel "Sardine No. 5" was a complete disaster.
-
True, there was indeed something fishy about that one, although it did quite well in Billingsgate and some coastal fishing ports. The people there are, let's say, quite selective.
I never thought their budget range 'Canal No 5' was a good idea either - although, again, it seemed to float a few people's boats.
-
And that's why I select Tide.....it floats ALL boats....
and keeps the uninvited at Bay.
