Without The One You Love -- the Four Tops
Don't You Miss Me A Little Bit Baby -- Jimmy Ruffin

2. It's A Good Good Feeling - The Miracles
3. I've Got A Feeling - Four Tops

23. You Lost The Sweetest Boy - Mary Wells
24. Sweet Thing - The Spinners
25. Baby Don't You Go - The Miracles
Definitely one of those "unsung" rockers! In structure, "Something About You" creates a tension and drive in the verses, backed by the great Funk Brothers, and the release of that tension on the chorus, "There's something about you, baby. That's makes me keepa lovin' you!"
Thanks Marv. I play those a lot
I Can't believe no one has come up with The Spinners 'Bad, Bad Weather' [[and even London get's a mention lol) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w5-LwoQN6ag
Marvin Gaye "That's The Way Love Is" -1969

Love that Marvin Gaye track - marv.
Now I also like a bit of Syreeta - Harmour Love
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=usfwR5HJLEc
Syreeta was another one that should have had more hits. Why she didn't is a mystery.
I only heard this on the radio in New York a couple of times, but it quickly became a favorite. Mary Wilson "Turn Around" from 1996.

WOW! DAMN? LOL!!!!! You go boy! LOL!
I'm not really familiar with Syreeta's music .... so when you say she should have had more hits ... well, you gotta put out the qualifying music !!!
Can you provide examples ??
Perfect use of the classic Motown sound !! Top Twenty Pop , Top Ten Soul.Quote:

One of my favorites!~ The Four Tops "Something About You Baby"
and this , a NUMBER ONE SONG in 1972 , seems to have all but vanished :

Sure. For example just about any cut from her 1980 album, "Syreeta" should have been a hit. Here's one for you to sample:

Also from the 1980 album "Syreeta" "Let Me Be the One". She could give Minnie Riperton a run for her money.......

Hey RichyP, welcome to SDF!
Someone mentioned this early on and I think it deserves to have a video posted - Marvin Gaye singing You. A great, great song. Also, I would add All I Need by The Temptations as a forgotten gem. That one should not be forgotten!

Marv I love that track 'Do it Baby'. All those great Syreeta tracks you posted you forgot 'Spinnin and Spinnin'
BTW welcome RichyP

This was the last record by Syreeta that made any noise here in the U.S. From 1981 "Quick Slick":

Now this was a major debut hit for Switch in the Fall of 1978. We would sing this walking across campus my freshman year in college. Switch - "There'll Never Be"
