I assume with Cindy's transition and waiting for contracts to be signed they couldn't really record with her yet. Diana did do some vocal sessions for a few Disney tracks in September when they were home for the Michigan State Fair, but then they were back out on the road again with engagements in Massachusetts, Melodyland in California, The Hollywood Palace, The Cave in Vancouver, and then filming Tarzan. It wasn't until November that things picked back up again in the studio. HDH did record a few instrumentals tracks for the group in July and August but none of them got vocals.
If I'm not mistaken, I believe there was a chunk of time where Marvin Gaye didn't have a lot of session work in 1967 either.
