Check out the Bandstand kids dancing to "When The Lovelight Starts Shining Through His Eyes". Who ever put together this video got the name of the dance wrong for this particular song. The dancers are not doing the "Jerk":

I always forget this music is 50 years old, and that was everything else was too, including the TV shows, fashion, and dances :p
What I thought about when watching it was that is was just a couple of months after the Kennedy Assassination. Life was getting back to normal.
