Hey there, Folks! Because of good friends John Lester and the late David Babcock [[RIP), the opportunity to have interviews [[I would much rather call them chats) with Motown artists on "Nightflight" began for me about 10 years ago. John introduced me to Cal Street and Bertha McNeil, and David introduced me to Scherrie Payne. Since those early chats, I have had the honor and pleasure of having a number of other Motown artists on the show.

Tonight, I bring back one of those memorable chats...with the lady that is known as the FIRST LADY of Motown. Tonight, the "Nightflight" show from December 11, 2007 [[it seems like only yesterday) with the beautiful, talented and MOST CLASSY Motown lady...Claudette Robinson of the Miracles. Claudette shares her thoughts and feeling about the Miracles, Motown, various Motown artists, and of course, Smokey Robinson.
So join me tonight for a show paying tribute to Claudette Robinson...and the Miracles...on "Nightflight"...on WOMR 92.1 FM Provincetown and WFMR 91.3 FM Orleans...and streaming live worldwide in digital stereo at www.womr.org

The First Lady of Motown and the inspiration for "My Girl"! I look forward to this repeat of the excellent interview [[chat) you had with Claudette in 2007. Was it really that long ago?! She was a great interview and I remembering being very impressed with how positive she was. A total class act.

I'm a long ways from going home tonight but it's a very good idea to repeat these interviews John. They were a real "coup"! You admit to being friends with Lester hey? Wait'll he gets you in the snow in London!

Rob...I don't know if I'd use the word "coup"...but maybe "dreams come true"...and I think you've got the same notion I have. As a matter of fact...I'll be reprising another one next week. Not sure which....

Claudette was talking about The Latin Casino in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. It was THE place to go in the Philadelphia area in the late '60s. Unfortunately, Diana Ross' dogs got poisoned and died there, causing The Supremes to cut short their engagement [[in '69?).
