Funky Music Sho Nuff Yvonne Fair with Marvin Gaye

Ever since I bought “The Bitch is Black” on import* when it was released I have wanted to know if Marvin Gaye recorded a version of Funky Music Sho Nuff Turns Me On and if so were bits taken and added to Yvonne Fair’s version? Or did he just record those little bits fo Yvonne? I would love to hear the full song by Marvin. Is it in the Motown Vaults?
* I’m sure other U.K. members of my age can remember the 1960s and 70s when Motown singles and LPs were released sometimes 6 months or more after the US release. In my case it meant travelling into London to buy import copies from specialist soul shops, Contempo Soul Source springs to mind.

Philadelphia International Records Marks 50th Anniversary With Yearlong Celebration

Billboard Magazine:
Philadelphia International Records (PIR) is bringing home the gold once more — this time in celebration of the legendary label’s 50th anniversary. Legacy Recordings, Sony Music Entertainment’s catalog division, and Warner Chappell Music, Warner Music Group’s global publishing division, are announcing the launch of a yearlong salute today (Jan. 25).

In addition to highlighting the label’s storied songs and artists, the celebration will involve exclusive partnerships, product and content releases and various artist initiatives.

Crafting one of the most significant chapters in music history, visionary songwriter-producers Kenneth Gamble and Leon Huff co-founded PIR in 1971. The O’Jays, Patti LaBelle, Harold Melvin & the Blue Notes, Teddy Pendergrass, Billy Paul, Lou Rawls and McFadden & Whitehead are just some of the stars who took the duo’s sumptuous Philly Soul, aka “The Sound of Philadelphia,” to the top of the charts.
Just as pivotal were the producers, songwriters, musicians and engineers that Gamble & Huff brought into the PIR family, among them Thom Bell, Dexter Wansel, Bobby Martin, Bunny Sigler Phil Hurtt, Joe Tarsia and house band MFSB. PIR’s 50-year history of R&B, soul, funk and disco is featured on this highlight reel.

Songs with dances in the title

Mickey's Monkey
Twistin' Postman
Come On Do the Jerk
Can You Jerk Like Me?
Shotgun
Hitchhike

All of the above songs were original compositions released on various Motown labels, and all contain the names of dances.

I know there are more. Can you name more songs released by Motown that contain the names of dances that are NOT covers?

Norman Whitfield Unreleased

I’d like to firstly say Hello to you all. I have just joined having been a lurker for years so I recognise your names but obviously you won’t recognise mine.

As my first post I’d like to ask if anybody knows if there are unreleased tracks in the Motown Vaults produced by Norman Whitfield? With the 1970 Unreleased tracks hopefully making an appearance later this year, we are getting into Norman Whitfield”s most productive period and I’m hoping to hear something new from him.
