I have a CD that came into my possesion and it has 2 versions of a song entitled "Full of Smoke" by an artist named "Christo". One version has a rap like intro about Hustlers and Players and the second version the intro rap has been cut out, however the boy can sing, sort of a Curtis Mayfield/Maxwell/MPG tenor he even borrows a rif/scat from Marvins Trouble man. Who is this guy, where is he from and what else has he done ??????.......everytime I go into a wreck-a store the clerks look at me like I'm crazy.....can anyone help me with this ? I need to hear more from this dude, this cut although clearly about "de ganja" is very tight, dam near hypnotic.....SDF ....help a brother...

Thanks LarsC, you are absolutely right. I found the CD in a local chain store. I was surprised to learn that this CD is several years old even though the tune is still being played on the underground circuit. The info from your link and liner notes was interesting, it seems that its not one singer but two brothers who are very talented. This cd brings up memories of Curtis and Marvin. Not a great CD but a good cd of young men trying to navigate their way into R & B history. I appreciate your time and effort.

I could be wrong.

Mr. Eli you're on point .....The link mentions that, don't know what happened to them but they would have been right at home on his Black Album.......but I guess he uses Pharrell....for real.......for his vocal shadings....
