It says to me the format is not supported...what do I have to do
![]() ![]() |
I get the same message, that the format is not supported by AOL!!!!

I thoroughly enjoyed it! Great stuff John Rhys. Lots of juicy tit bits. Loved the 'Arctic' story and the reel of tape down the highway. I think I have the Sam Bowie and Kenny Gamble records - I need to check this out at home.

i'm afraid that message doesn't mean a thing to me.
i've now heard it on 2 machines. one 56k modem, one on broadband. both worked well.
john/bobby please send an e-mail to john rhys. it's well worth hearing.

If you don't have RealPlayer, you can download it from www.real.com
The programme's also on the BluePower site in mp3 format - if you have an mp3 player.
Winamp is the best mp3 player (it's free too)
from
www.nullsoft.com
Any help to you?
![]() ![]() |
yes, have you both tried downloading 'realplayer' first.
you'll see it on the left hand side of the screen on bluepower.
takes 40 minutes on a 56k modem.

I think that I missed my calling as a comedian. I think that I will be a "sit down comic" rather than stand up one!!

Bobby
What? And deprive us of all that music? You must be joking (again!)
![]() ![]() |
Bobby....your recording sessions must have been a riot.
Was you a comedian in the studio too!!

I GOT IT !!!!

The last track is amazing. I was explaining to someone here, while it was playing, about the high back beats and the brass arrangement and what tends to make things soulful. It finished, and my friend turned on an Italian MTV type station on the TV and a track called 'Hip teens, don't wear blue jeans' came on, a new song I think! In it are the backbeats and the brass almost the same style as the last record that John Played. I would be happy to hear that tune again for a further grilling. It sounded as though somebody has their finger on the 'soulful'pulse.
Bobby, did you play on 'Young Americans' by David Bowie?? It is playing down the other end of the room!!

I was a riot in the studio. It kept the atmosphere up and positive. I would bring in potable spirits usually of the vinyard variety and various contriband(whenever necessary) Some times I would write bogus titles on top of the charts so everyone would immediately start to chuckle!! I would get the take "by any means necessary"!!!!

I have checked my 'records' and am pleased to say I have the Arctic 'Ain't it baby' by Kenny Gamble and the Romeos and also the Sam Bowie one. I need to scrutinize them even more now! Tut tut Carl, I have just learnt that the Kenny Gamble one has the instrumental on the other side. When the tape went hurtling down the road, you obviuosly had to rerecord the track - right?
