I have an 1970 Jackson 5 music book from Motown/Jobete called "ABC" which contains the music and lyrics to most of the songs on the group's first two albums. Among the songs included is the Diana Ross song "Reach Out and Touch (Somebody's Hand)" which has never appeared on any J5 album.
Does anyone know anything about the history of this song, and whether or not it was ever actually recorded by (or perhaps even originally intended for) the J5?
Thanks!

From what I heard some time ago, the song was originally supposed to be the final Diana Ross & The Supremes single. But eventually, they settled on "Someday We'll Be Together" and made it Diana Ross' debut solo single.
