Does anybody in the board - among the many musicians, singers, composers, engineers and producers - have any memories of the tracks (just the music, not the vocals) recorded in Detroit for Creative Source's debut album? I became a fan since I heard "You Can't Hide Love". I was listening today to their compilation CD produced by Harry Weinger and read in A. Scott Galloway's liner notes that Eddie Willis played guitar, Paul Riser arranged the album, and even David Van de Pitte arranged one song, "You're Too Good To Be True". There's also a track from their last LP "Consider the Source", written by Pam Sawyer and Marilyn McLeod called "I'd Find You Anywhere", which was recorded by Syreeta but not released.

I liked their version of "You Can't Hide Love" almost as much as the Earth, Wind & Fire remake.

That album was recorded at the old GM recording studio in the city of East Detroit which changed it's name to Eastpointe. Mike Stokes produced those sessions.
It's pretty safe to say that a tremendous bulk of Motown session players are backing up the group. You can tell by the sound. That album came out in the fall of 1973 and was probably recorded in the summer of 1973. By then Motown was out west and the guys left back in Detroit took whatever studio work that was around.

Who Is He And What Is He To You.........surely one of the most played and loved disco records of the entire era.
That song has a whole chapter of memories in my life book...some of which I don't want to remember! But then again, sometimes you have to live life on the edge.
