Having trouble uploading image. From what I understand this was the only record on this label featuring its only artist. David, can I email you the label scan?
I had never heard of it until a few months ago when a forum member scanned his copy (guess his preceding scan will take away from the excitement of mine).

Anybody want it?

Also I received a Jr. Walker & the All Stars 45 misprinted "Leo's Back" instead of "Cleo's Back."

Please mail it to d.meikle1@ntlworld.com
Thanks

I think I may have missed the beginning of this thread ... does anyone know ANYTHING about Wade Jones?
Also, Julian, I would like a label scan too! ... to keithhughes2000@netscape.net please ...

I think Wade paid to record these songs.

Julian - Many thanks. I am sure you're right, B&H Distribution surely have something to do with the Motown Story, but I have no idea what!
Acoolcat - Yes, that seems plausible for "I can't concentrate", but "Insane" is a Robinson/Gordy composition ... I suspect there was some hard horse-trading ...
Now for a listen-hard question: whose (female) voice do you hear at the beginning of "Insane" (before Wade comes in)? You might expect from the published accounts that it would be Miss Ray's ... but I think it is someone else ... ???
Keith

B&H Distribution were the local distributors
for Motown up to around the time of "Shop Around"
I'd have to check but I think Robert West of LuPine was one of the owners.

Good info Davie. Definitely Robert West.

Has anyone asked Miss Ray?

Hey Keith, what's "hard-horse trading?" Tough bargaining?

Sorry I've scanned on to another thread.

Hard-horse trading sounds great! I can't stop giggling.
But yes, by hard horse-trading I did mean tough bargaining.
