Cornbread R&B in the UK means something totally alien to me now, Soul / R&B of the 60s nature is very free style over here, with no particular fashions. Around '68 cool, Impressions style dancing, with minimal movement and maximum image was rudly usurped by highly athletic, acrobatic, uptempo free style. Back drops, hand stands, splits, hand springs, high speed spins etc. all to the tempo of Eddie Parker's `Love You Baby` or Jackie Lee's `Shotgun & the Duck`. They needed plenty of artificial stimulation to keep it up for 12 hours, all night! Keith
