Would you believe...today is the TWENTY SIXTH anniversary of the death of Elvis.
I remember distinctly that I was in my music room writing a song for Odia Coates with co- writer Jeff Prusan and he, for some reason was imitating Elvis doing the song.

About five minutes later my late wife comes down to tell us the news of Elvis' passing.
What a coincidence, huh??

In case no one knew, there is a Philly connection to Elvis.
Kal Mann & Bernie of Cameo Parkway wrote Teddy Bear for Elvis with Charlie Gracie doing the demo.

When Elvis turned down Butterfly,CP put out Gracies record and it became CP's first hit!!

The weekend before last on VH1, they celbrated Elvis, with loads of footage and music. Excellent stuff.
