More sad news. Sincere condolences to family and friends.

I cannot recall that name, but I'm sure I would know the face. There are so many gospel singers in Detroit. I have seen most of them. I used to go to programs at Williams Chapel. I believe that is the church where "New Birth" developed as a gospel group.

RIP to Mr. Anderson.

Thank you Ron

It says R Martin Studio on the label. Are you able to offer some insight to what that is all about?

The web site above refers to the Sons of Zion who also recorded at Hitsville USA in July 62 - Trust In Jesus/I'm Not A Shame/Beaulah Land. Any thoughts

John: I'm not sure..these 2 songs were never in the Jobete publishing catalog and never assigned into BMI or ASCAP..I doubt if they were in public domain, but the music publishling credits for both sides is a bit unsual for sure. my guess is that they are original material that the writers did not want to give to Jobete, and I guess Gordy decided he would put the record out anyway.

I've called a couple of old gospel singers to see if they know him. So far, they've heard of the group, but not the person. I've got one more call into a person who is in his 70's. Perhaps I will get some information from him regarding those names on the labels. If I get any info, I'll let you know.

Sorry, no one remember that 45 release. Not even the gospel promoter who brings the groups in, who attends all of the programs. He only remember the name of the Golden Harmoneers, but not the specific personnel.
