Is it right that The Silent Majority were formerly The Formations? The names I have jotted down are Akines, Bellman, Drayton and Turner.
I think a lot of those early 8th Day and 100% Proof recordings on Invictus were made by a loose knit group of talented singers, such as Sonny Munroe and Steve Mancha.

Affirmative on Silent Majority. They were also the Corner Boys on Neptune with a song called Gang War.

(Just don't make no sense) - got that one in 1974.I asked Buddy Turner why so many group names. He mentioned that The Corner Boys were more 'political' than The Formations. He co-wrote 'Don't let the green grass fool you' for Wilson Picket and The Detroit Spinners.

I forgot to mention they also had a possible contract with Motown at some stage, so I was informed, as The Formations.
