Someone mentioned The Paragons recently - but I've lost the thread. Were they the same group as The Royal Holidays?

I just found the thread - under Nabay. Is this the same Paragons who recorded "My Time Is Important" for Mike Hanks - released on his Exit record label? I think there's a link to The Carravelles too.

The Paragons were a Detroit band with Jack Rainwater, George Katsakis and others. I don't think they did any recording together, but George could verify that.

The Parogons consisted of George Katsakis, Ed Gandolfo, Jack Rainwater, Mike and Greg Popoff (twins). This is the group that went on to become the Royaltones. I can provide more information if there is any interest. The Paragons recorded "Poor Boy" but the record company (Jubilee Records) changed their name to the Royaltones because another group was called the Paragons. This is how the Pargons became the Royaltones.

That's cool George. I never knew the story of the naming of the Royal Tones.
