Probably a little bit more of "Chic sound" than I need. But some of the tracks look interesting. I've heard about the Chic/Johnny Mathis collaboration and am interested just for that.

I can do without those Dimitri remixes, but those long previously unreleased versions, and the Johnny Mathis material does interest me.

I think it's high time Sony legacy issues that JM album. They have nothing to fear or lose now. they no longer have to worry about any negative reaction from his fans.

I have always been a big Johnny Mathis fan and The Chic album I Love My Lady is awesome. When I heard the album and thought how great it is and the rumours about it would turn off his fan base I was shocked. Denise Williams didn't . There isn't one bad song or production on the album. I think Sony is afraid if it comes out everyone will say why now? They don't want to be sitting on a hit album they could have released years ago. Johnny turn 75 this year and there not making a big deal out of his country album. Johnny's Greatest Hits for years was the longest record on the top 100 charts. The three tracks on this box will open some eyes and ears.

I've heard about that Johnny Mathis LP & if for the sake of nothing other than history, I believe that that LP should see the light of day. I'm not saying that it will move Platinum numbers, but I believe that there is definitely a sizable market which will purchase that CD if released.

I agree 100 % . With the so called Music they have now and you hear this all you can say is WOW! That's Johnny Mathis? Its so Refreshing to hear Good songs and Johnny really sounding so natural and very much at ease with it. The album is so well done and hearing music the way Bernard & Nile Produced it. Never over Produced just very hooky rhythm patterns and songs done in a very simplistic Chic style. Its hard to pick just one song and I am sure Alain had a hard time just picking three of them for the Chic box. The good thing about it is There is nothing like it and it will really stand out musically and I wonder what Johnny would follow up this album with?

Different copyright laws. The U.S. has the toughest laws. That's why we do not get any overseas albums and tracks on iTunes. It also has to do with import duties, taxes, and rates of exchange. The only way we can buy imports is through retail. We can usually buy them online or at a store, but it's a crapshoot if we can find them at all. The only other way is if we download illegally. Life is easier if you live in a major city, like Los Angeles or Chicago, but it sucks in Middle America.

This is also why when our European and Canadian members discuss CDs, we U.S. citizens are kind of left out in that we have never heard of many things.

The Johnny Mathis album is amazing, one of the best albums Bernard and Nile ever produced so it is great that three tracks have now officially seen the light of day on the excellent box set. Nile confirmed on Facebook this week that the album will finally be released next year, so the wait is almost over! Tom, I have heard that you remixed some tracks for a possible volume 2 of the Chic box set? I don't know if the multitracks still exist for the Mathis album, but it would be great if there were some "Tom Moulton Mixes" added to the CD when it finally comes out :-)

I'm looking forward to this myself...hopefully the remixes are more of an extension of already great songs [[like the mixes on Ashford & Simpsons "Hits, Remixes & Rarities") as opposed to updated sounding mixes. Nile did mention on Facebook that there will be a volume II. I hope that there are unreleased tracks from the Diana Ross & Sister Sledge sessions.
